Film Festival

On Wednesday Pt England School went to the Manaiakalani Film Festival and I fell asleep. It was cool but I was tired. There was another school that came. At the end we left and we went back to school on the bus and it was a cool bus. There were songs and the bus driver was cool. I had fun too and I liked it. It was amazing and cool. I liked watching our movie because it was fun seeing me and my friends on the big screen.

On Monday all of Pt England School went into the hall for our Immersion Assembly. The teachers talked about term 3’s topic. We found out that trade and enterprise is our term’s topic. My favourite item was team 4 because it was cool.I like it because it made me laugh and I liked it. THey were dressed up as different people Mr Somerville was sassy. Fireman David

Fireman David came to Rm11&12. He came to talk about the fire and he talked about that. All of team 3 came to Rm11&12  and team 3 listened to what he was saying. What  Work Do They Do?

A  firefighter has different  work  because their work is varied. Firefighters extinguish fires. Fire fighters have to be fire smart too. They teach people to be fire smart.

What Do They Wear?
The fire fighters have to wear helmet so they don’t die.They have to wear fireproof clothes.

This weekend it was Matariki. matariki is a cluster of stars where these appear maori Celebrate the Maori New year. If you want to see the Mataiki cluster of stars what can you do! On a cloudy night Jimmy heard the water  lapping on the shore.  He was camping in the forest.  He  was toasting sizzling marshmallows over the fire.

Suddenly he turned around then the monster was there. The monsters eyes turned googgley  and big, and his teeth were sharp.

Trying to defend  himself  Jimmy swung his  stick out like a sword. Suddenly  the  monster stretched  out his tongue and  snatched the marshmallow. The monster was scary

Immersion Assmbly

Yesterday we went to the  hall with Point England and it was an immersion Assembly. We found out our topic was Tinkering Tools and Toys.

My favourite item was Mr Barks . He made a hovercraft. He made it by attaching a leaf blower to a board shaped in a circle. Mr Somerville   sat on the hovercraft. it blue a cross

the stage. Mr Barks had been tinkering at home with  toys when he was lIttle. At the Immersion Assembly we got to eat healthy food and we are trying to get rid of the dental clinic cause  we start eating healthy food. I liked the assembly.

Happy Face Biscuits

The picnic was cancelled because it was raining. We got to make happy face biscuits. The icing was pink and green it was delicious. My biscuit tasted like lollies.

We went to makerspace and made  a waka. Mr Barks showed us how to glue our wood together. Mr Barks was cutting up the wood with the skilsaw. It was loud so we had to wear earmuffs.

At the Pools

Yesterday we went to the pools. I dived into the pool and swam. We were dolphin diving and splashing.

I liked going on  the tram and through the mirror maze .it was tricky.

On a rainy Monday we went to MOTATR.it was fun.
