Matariki

This weekend it was Matariki. matariki is a cluster of stars where these appear maori Celebrate the Maori New year. If you want to see the Mataiki cluster of stars what can you do! You will need get up about half an hour before dawn breaks in late May or early June. you have to look towards the horizon facing north east.

 High on a hill above the village stood a lighthouse. Its beams of light were a warning for  ships to shay Away . There were  treacherous rocks below

Meanwhile  the people in the village were having a Celebration they cheered.   The people were having fun.





Up in the lighthouse the lighthouse keeper  was  writing  by the light candle. He heard something.  
It  was an  unusual  clanking .

Suddenly the big lighthouse light had  turned off . The lighthouse  keeping
went up to the top of  The lighthouse . to look  at the big light

The lighthouse keeper looked into the
lamp. ‘oh bother he thought.  The light has ‘gone out. Suddenly a snips horn
blasted.In a panic he tried to lift up the lamp but tripped over his toolbox.  “ crash the! lamp  smashed on the ground.
